Step into a leadership role that makes a real impact!
As Director leading the Minerals Business Centre, part of Environmental Services and Regulation (ESR), you'll be a dynamic and visionary leder who thrives on developing and maintaining effective collaborative relationships with stakeholders!
You'll lead teams that play a critical role in decision-making for statutory and non-statutory decisions under Queensland's legislation.
We're looking for a Program Leader who will inspire others in the delivery of regulatary functions that will shape Queensland's mining sector, and contribute to sustainable environmental outcomes. This is an important leadership role, where your contribution will be valued and so will you!
You'll lead and inspire multi-disciplinary teams to deliver critical programs, environmental management and regulatory servcies across Queensland. This role offers the opportunity to diverse activities, including environmental assessments, compliance monitoring, customer service delivery adn the implementation of innovative buisness practices. You'll lead the planning, coordination and implementation of key innitiatives, ensuring that team efforts align with government priorities and community expectations.
About You
We are lookng for the best suited peson for the role. It is expected that you will model leadership capabiliites and behaivours of a Program Leader as outlined in the Queensland Public Service Commission "Leadership competencies for Queensland" (brochure attached).
The position requires:
The Director role is being filled as Permanent Full time, working from DETSI, ESR Division Office location of tropical Cairns, North Queensland.
Some travel to other locations from time to time will be required, including overnight stays. Travel costs for official business travel will be met by the Department.
